자주 묻는 질문

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY JEWELLERY?

We recommend taking off all jewellery before sleeping, showering, applying cosmetics, and washing hands. Daily wear and environmental factors can cause tarnishing.

WHERE IS MINILITH JEWELLERY MADE?

Every piece is made in my shared workshop in the basement of Somerset House, central London’s historic arts center.

WHAT IS MINILITH JEWELLERY MADE OF?

All our jewellery is made out of recycled 925 sterling silver.

If you don't know the recipients ring size, we're happy to send them a ring sizing kit if they're located in the UK, EU or Colombia. See our sizing page for more details.

Please message us with any questions, we can also make changes after you've placed your order to make sure it's sent as a gift.

What If The Ring Still Turns Out To Be The Wrong Fit?

Ring sizing is a complicated art, and your ring size changes depending on the style and width of a ring. Comfort preferences, your lifestyle and even the weather can impact what ring size fits you best.

If the worst happens and you select a ring in the incorrect size, let us know. If you live in one of the countries where we accept returns, email us and we can exchange your ring for free (or for a small fee, depending on your location). Learn more

Can I use a string, paper, or a printed template to measure my size?

Alternative ring sizing methods like using a string, paper, or a printed template are often inaccurate. Materials can stretch or compress, leading to a poor fit. These methods don't account for ring width and thickness, which are crucial for a comfortable fit.

If you're located in the UK, Europe and Colombia, we can send you a free ring sizer in the post when you complete your order.

If you're located outside of the UK, Europe or Colombia, going to your local jeweller is the easiest way to get an accurate measurement of your fingers.

Does The Style Of Ring Affect My Ring Size?

Rings that have a wide band, like most MINILITH rings, will need to be slightly larger than the equivalent size on a thinner ring (for instance, a engagement ring). Consider this when choosing your size.

If you know your ring size for a thinner ring, it's often good enough to go up by 1 size (so for example, in UK measurements you would go from L > M).

WHAT IF MY JEWELLERY NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED?

We understand jewellery is delicate. We are happy to polish or repair a piece of Minilith jewellery for you. Please contact us and we can discuss how we can get your jewellery back to its original state.

We cannot repair jewellery not purchased on this website or accept responsibility for items repaired by any other jeweller. Depending on your location and how long it's been since your purchase, a repair might incur repair and shipping fees at the expense of the customer.

What is Hallmarking?

British hallmarking is a stamp of approval that ensures the quality of precious metals like gold and silver in jewellery. This system uses special marks to show the type of metal, its purity, where it was tested, and the year it was marked. These marks help guarantee that the jewellery you buy is genuine and meets quality standards, giving you peace of mind about your purchase.

Why can't you send sizing kits outside of UK, Europe or Colombia?

We want sizing kits to get to you as fast as possible after your order so we can get started working on your ring. The only way to do this outside of Europe or Colombia is by express air post, and we don't think the carbon emissions are worth it to send this small plastic ring sizer.

Currently, we ship our sizing kits from London (for European orders), or from my hometown of Pereira, Colombia (for Colombian orders).

If you really want a ring sizing kit but you're not located in Europe or Colombia, we can send it to you via regular post, but post services are less reliable, so might take a week or more to arrive outside Europe. Message us and we can send you one for free, even if you haven't placed an order yet.

In the future, we plan to find a fulfilment partner to send our sizing kits to North American addresses.
